The Satchel-like purse

I've been looking for something satchel-like since seeing glimpses of these on street blogs around the world. I spotted one last weekend at my local Salvation Army for $3. Horrah!

The Sunday Best recently did a post on bags of similar nature (thanks for the tip-off, MC). I think I would really like these on a man (mine is bit purse-y, but a slightly boxier shape would do). Drool here.

  1. thanks for the comment last week on wewearthings! Yes, suits are quite nice, but what is an LBD? Long... bridal dress?

  2. I went looking for a man bag I-I mean a messenger bag to start college with, and thought all of them looked girly.
and started thinking what everyone would say about me wearing a bag.
So instead I went online and bought a military satchel so if people wanted to say it is girly I would be like "bitch this is from the army."

  6. That fan is actually one of my favourite stories and possessions. I found it in a pile of free stuff on the way out to a beach in Ipswich with all my friends. I demanded that they turn around the car and we all dug through the pile.
Everyone thought I was crazy cause the thing ways a ton and they swore it wouldnt work. But it works beautifully and I adore it, that was one of the best days ever and that fan always remind me of it. Who wouldn't love a baby blue fan?

  7. Good score! That bag is absolutely lovely. The best feeling in the world is finding something at a thrift store that you've been looking for.

  8. What a great find. I'm also a dedicated thrift store shopper.

I just thought of an interesting question that you might post on your blog. You could ask everyone what is their best thrift store find ever, and to send a picture if possible. What do you think?

  10. WOW, what a great Thrift score! Congratulations!=) When I pictured how stoked you must have been, it actually made me smile...like Muriel said, there's nothing quite like discovering something you've been yearning for at a thrift store. And for only $3?? It doesn't get any better than that!
