Atlanta News: Zara

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Zara will be opening a second location in Atlanta at Perimeter Mall.

The first location opened last year in Lenox Mall. It's not as extensive as the Zaras in Europe, but they have some great pieces for work. According to the article, the company is supposedly looking for a third location. I hope they open up in Midtown - someplace that isn't a mall!

Oooo that's pretty exciting as Perimeter is SO much closer than Lenox. I wonder whose space they're taking over...

I love Zara. People didn't know about them when I first moved down here since they weren't here yet. I do hope they open one up closer in town. I hardly ever take a trip to the mall.

Oh I should have mentioned this myself! The Perimeter store will open in October and will be in the old Victoria's Secret space next to Anthropologie. Supposedly they plan on having women's, men's, and children's, but I just don't think there is enough space.

The third store might be on the Midtown mile or Buckhead mile or whatever they're calling it. Last I heard from corporate, they were vying for the same space as Barney's. Either way, it's exciting!

I loved Zara in NYC and in Europe, but for some reason I haven't had a lot of luck in the ATL store.

Good luck getting one outside of a mall - it's so hard to get things to move in to the city. I'm still surprised when I see Urban on Ponce. Unless you consider Atlantic Station "not a mall" (not!). I can see a Zara there.
