All About Comfort

It's pretty rare for me not to wear heels, but I knew I would be traipsing around town last Friday so I went with my tried and trusty Newport-News flat suede boots.

purplegapdress
Gap dress, H&M woven patent black belt, Newport-News boots and U.O. sunnies.

Of course I made my rational shoe decision before I realized I'd be spending the better part of my day with a glamazon, a.k.a. Corinna Allen. Without a doubt I was very comfortable in my flat boots and jersey dress, but I felt like a hobbit next to Corinna - curse my 5'2" height!

I now realize that I've officially become a high-heel (3-inches or more) addict. I find it very difficult to leave the house without heels. So to my future knees and feet, I apologize!

I wear flats most days...but I'm always drawn to heels when I go shopping!

I'm with you. Heels make you taller, longer, and work wonders to make your legs that much hotter ;)

I'm with you on the heels. I've never liked flat shoes.

You look great, Cath! I agree with you about the heels. I completely agree! I've been using a Soap & Glory product called "Feet Dreams" that helps to kind of ease the tiredness after a long day running around in heels. It also helps when your feet/legs get a bit swollen. :)

Cute casual chic outfit! I'm with you about heels.. I've slowly become a high-heel girl, although I really can't walk smoothly in anything over 4 inches. :)

I've heard that a shoe with a "sensible" heel height of one inch is actually better than flat flat shoes. I take that advice and run in the other direction... You do need a day of rest, however. Sometimes it's nice to mix it up and do a full weekend of flat, comfy shoes.

I'm the same way. I'm crazed about heels. I mainly keep my shoes closed, not about the toe, but around the foot and heel, so that I can wear Dr. Scholl's insoles. They work wonders, and surprisingly actually fit into heels!

Or I stick with Jeffrey Campbell, because his shoes are insanely comfy. Moreso than the same versions Aldo creates.

I'm 5'2" also, so I feel your pain, but nothing sometimes beats the comfort of a good flat, esp if the flat are Chuck Taylors.

I still can't believe anyone, boy or girl can actually stand, let along remain mobile in anything with a 3 inch differential from heel to toe. I think it's one of the reasons us guys think girls are magical creatures.

you look adorable....I do a lot of running around so I am about 50/50 with flats and heels!

So cute!! You're so proportional so no need to fret about your height! I've been looking for boots just like those! They look great with the dress! xxoxoxoxo

aw, you definitely don't look short at all in your pictures! I think Shin is right, proportions are important.

but I sympathize with feeling shorter esp. when you are around taller gals. My best girlfriends are both 5'7" and 5'8" and I always feel short around them.
