We Survived!

Thanks to all the wonderful tips from everyone, we made it through a weekend of camping.

We'll be posting photos this week. In the mean time, I'll leave you with this image to give you an idea of what our weekend was like:

. . .minus the cabin, record player, fancy dresses, coiffed hairdos and beer glasses.

I was about to say "Well, that looks like fun!" But then I finished reading. Hmm...I can't wait to hear how it went.
The closest I ever came to camping was in a tent in my backyard when I was a kid. After the marshmallows, I was ready to come in. So, I commend you ladies for sticking it out. :)

I am wondering if the couple on the dock are coming or going....and why the woman is knitting....

Stephanie, it was easier and much more enjoyable than I thought, but I'm still no camper at heart :).

June, Muriel and Savvy Mode, we'll be posting our camping pics - and some artwork - Tuesday evening, so stay tuned!

Enc, you and this vignette got me! There was definitely no pipe on the trip!

Emily, I would definitely go camping again, but not too often. I think I too like the idea of it better than the reality - especially b/c in reality I don't get to wear pretty dresses!

This Wheel's on Fire, thanks! I'm kind of pleasantly surprised that we made it!

Kokostiletto, we did have drop toilets nearby. So I guess technically we did have bathrooms ;).

Mona, I like the idea of the couple on the dock coming to join in on the record playing/knitting fun. Knitting would be out of the question around a campfire because you can barely see anything without a lantern!
