Pleather

Burn out tee from AA, pleather shorts thrifted, shoes are Jeffrey Campbell.

I picked up these pleather shorts a few weekends ago at a thrift store, though I'm pretty sure they have their origins from Forever21. I know for many these are a little gag-worthy, but give 'em a wash (yes, they have been washed and dried- and came out the same size and color- the joys of faux leather!) and they look just right with anything over-sized. Wear a crop-top or tight tank and you can look a little more lady-of-the-night than you intended.

A huge shout-out to (recent transplant) local Atlantan Hippie Frou Frou for the blog award.

You guys should definitely read her blog. You'll see. We're not just making up how awesome the oft-forgotten South is. Thanks, Hippie Frou Frou! Let's go eat some bacon at Leon's soon!

I was thisclose to buying a pair of pleather shorts just like these, and my hubby decided it was too hooker. But see, it can look superchic. I'm going to go show him your pics!

Hi there-they are just soo fabulous on you my dear, a great bargain indeed! I bought some pleather Miss Sixty jeans for £1 at the boot sale a couple of weeks ago, which did also wash up really nicely-I'm yet to wear them though!

Oh I think they are spiffy! Also, now you can be a biker babe, or, well, a hooker, for Halloween.

Oh god, I'm so lame. I would play up the sweetness of the bloomers. I'd probably do a constructed red tank top and little red flats or retro short heels and cutsey sunglasses. Then again my boyfriend is forever accusing me of dressing to twee and cutsey. I suppose I have a bit of a Lolita issue.

Haha, sadly my life is no where near that glamourous and my shoes no where near that fabulous. But yes, the whole night I was thinking of that SATC episode. Sadly I have never seen On The Town, but roommates and I love to have movie and snuggling nights so I'll have to put that on the list. I will say, though my NYC life may not be Carrie Bradshaw glamourous I am still loving every single minute of it. If you guys feel like heading up to the big city give me a shout!

I dig! Very biker sexy without actually being skanky (or fat, as many biker babes tend to be).

I love the pose, and how you echo the movement of the stencil/graphic on your wall. I think it's a nice juxtaposition of fashion v. art and how they mirror each other.
