Despite the fashion drain from Atlanta to New York, this city has a lot of talent. So, one of my New Year resolutions is to immerse myself more in the local fashion world - at least I'll start by reading Peach and Atlantan magazines.
I first heard about Dawn Ramu on Daily Candy Atlanta. I love her collection, which you can check out on her website. Ramu's dresses are updated classics. Unexpected additions like pockets or a mini-bustle really make her pieces stand out.
I'd love to splurge and buy one of her dresses next time I have a special event coming up.

I love that pink dress with the ruffles in the back!!! I've never seen anything like that!
I know - it's incredibly cute. If I had the money, I'd buy it this second.
that one with the bustle is killer! i love it!
p.s. i love your blog, i added you to my blog roll <3
Those dresses are too cute!
All the designers in my town are big on vintage fabrics and silkscreening things they got at thrift stores... which is nice, but I'd love a homegrown, locally made gown.
Amazing!!! the purple one and the black with black tighths are my favorites :D
Thanks Katie, you're so sweet! We've returned the favor and added you to our blog roll.
I completely agree Heather - homegrown is the best!
Key, aren't the great? I wish I could afford them!
