Buckle Boots and the Justification of Rampant Consumerism

Photobucket

1. It makes the first week back from vacation a bit sweeter
2. I've always fallen for buckles. Am I the only one who thinks a straight jacket has some fashion appeal?
3. Because they are the safest version of a Rick Owen boot (and probably 1/32 of the price).
4. They were on sale!
5. They're British
6. When your bf buys a motorcycle you have to accessorize properly. Boots? Check. Leather jacket? Check. Helmet? Give me some more buckles and leather and I slap anything on my head.

Those boots totally remind me of Nausicaa in The Valley of the Wind (a japanese cartoon movie).

Zucca made a similar boot, and they're on sale at Creatures of Comfort. Unfortunately it's still out of my budget. All this talk about the economy falling apart is scaring my money back into my wallet... which is probably where it should be anyway... le sigh...

Never enough boots. Never! Do show us your full motorcycle-riding regalia at some point, lady.

I love these! I'm thinking that I might be able to make some spats that look similar to these!

Practically anything British is always sweeter :-)

LOL I love the way your mind works. And I agree with Sal--you can't have too many pairs of boots! I've been wearing mine to death this season.

I covet those shoes--mainly because they look like something a space cadet would wear in some Japanese Animé or Manga... But I think they look much too complex for me. I'd probably end up trying to commit sepuku over trying to get them on and off.
