Recession Fun!

It's not an oxymoron! I mean, what is more fun than origami hats?! We got this idea from Daily Candy's mention of the Origami Club. Granted you might get more of a thrill shopping on line at Urban or going for a swanky dinner somewhere, but if your funds are low, we highly recommend folding paper and letting your imagination go with it.

Thanks Key!

Smooches, tell us how lab goes. I only wish I had a real seafaring hat.

Shelly thanks! Somehow my hair looked really shiny in the photos - yay!

Songy, you're so right. Must find a good source for large sheets of colored paper.

Maegan, oddly enough, Lar and I are big fans of Napoleonic naval warfare. Must have something to do with the Patrick O'Brien novels ;).

So fun! I saw an editorial once with newspaper hats and swords--it was really cool.

Bwahahaha! Recessionista indeed. And such good hair in that photo! Shiny and super thick looking.

To Cath - the book I was reading which made me miss posting was Bright Shiny Morning by James Frey. He writes like a dream. Funny punctuation but incomparable.

How fun! I taught myself how to make those origami cranes and was attempting to make 1000. Supposedly it brings good luck.

For color, you should use the comics pages of the Sunday AJC!

Paper hats are fun! They transform into paper boats too you know.
